Storytelling has been part of my life since early childhood
The first story I ever wrote was Myrtle the Candy Giving Witch—a tale about a kindhearted witch who loved making candy. She saw how happy it made the children in her village, but their parents forbade them from accepting it. After all, she was a witch. Over time, the town came around, and Myrtle was finally accepted. That story won me my first writing award in the second grade, and I'll never forget it.
That early love of storytelling let me many more stories—some with deeper meaning, other simple school assignments. But the real turning point came in high school when I joined the newspaper. I wanted to write for the sports section, but there were no openings. The only available spot was in features, so I took it. Less than two months later, I was promoted to Features Editor.
Telling stories isn't just what I do—it's who I am. And I've been fortunate to tell them for some incredible companies.
